Invitation to the WFHSS and SOBECC Conference 2010

It is a pleasure to invite you to the 11th World Congress for sterilization which will take place from 30 July to 1 August 2010 in Sao Paolo, Brazil. It is organized by SOBECC, in close co-operation with the WFHSS. Once again this congress is a historical event because we are once more pushing back our frontiers. It is indeed actually the first time that this congress will take place outside of Europe. This proves that sterilization has truly become globalized.

The main objectives of the congress are to build bridges between North and South and between East and West and to prepare the road for a global sterilization practice.

For these reasons we have invited a number of prominent experts from all continents to address the participants about their areas of expertise. The ensuing exchange of ideas should lead to an evidence based best practice with standardization and innovation as the key concepts. Standardization has to ensure that the sterilization processes are run efficiently and safely, innovation that the CSSD adapts technologically, ecologically and economically to an ever changing hospital environment.

I trust that all of you, members of staff in CSSDs and in companies, will make this congress into the meeting place of the global sterilization world. This is also an ideal opportunity to experience for yourself the warm welcome Brazil extends to its visitors and the friendly hospitality of SOBECC.

See you in Sao Paolo!
