WHO WE ARE
The Austrian Society for Sterile Supply was founded in Vienna in May 1997. By the end of 2006, the association had around 250 members (sterile supply professionals, scientists and companies).

ÖGSV Mission
The primary goal of the ÖGSV is to devise a uniform, high-quality standard for the entire sterile supply in hospitals and industry. Objectives to implement this goals are:
Initiate, develop and support expert meetings, seminars and conferences as well as research projects.
Providing continued education courses to make the professionals and supervisors capable of preparing instruments and devices at the proper quality, reducing costs and avoiding errors in sterile supply departments.
Cooperation with other European associations such as DGSV, SGSV/SSSH/SSSO, WFHSS, etc.
Supporting the development of international communication among CSD professionals, hygienists and sterilisation experts.

ÖGSV Membership
Reports on ÖGSV events as well as general news on the association are published in the ÖGSV members journal Sterifix, which appears 3-4 times a year. In addition, members of the ÖGSV get the journal Zentralsterilisation/Central Service for free.
