well thanks for helping us know more about sterility. I work as a cssd packer at one of the leading hospitals in zimbabwe but I feel that precautions are not being taken to the max.
How best can we improve our standards?,and another issue is that none of us packers has the basic knowledge about it. That is we are just taken straight from school without any know-how about sterility in hospitals. Also I need to be a good CSSD packer and I love my work coz there as lot to learn.

Please help if you can.

In addition to Josy's recomendation I suggest you to continue to read Australian Standartds AS 4815 and AS 4187 which will lead you the way to "Practical Decontamination approach", than, you can look at the American Standard AAMI/ANSI ST- 46, further to the ISO 13683 and finish with EN 554.
Now, start to implement it slowly slowly, step by step. This is a big challenge.
