Subject: What to do with old autoclave

Hi,
I am a dentist and I am using steam autoclaves Melag 23 and Mocom basic. When I bought them it was posibility to sterilizate wrapped instruments using mentioned autoclaves. Curently the EN norms are changed. Please explain if it still legal to use these autoclaves for sterilization of wrapped instruments.

Looking forward to hear any news.

New norms does not cause excluding old autoclaves unless other regulations are valid, but "Good practice" is the way.
The sterilization is a process which destruct microorganisms.
It is, first of all you that must trust the sterilization process.
To my understanding, if you will prove by using appropriate PCD's that sterilization conditions were transfered from the autoclave to the PCD (put it in the "worst case" place), this will provide you the safety of decontamination.
